
Description
The museum was established to explore and preserve British Columbia's human and natural history, to inspire curiosity and wonder, and to share its story with the world. Of particular note is the permanent First Peoples Gallery, which includes weaving, carved wooden boxes, totem poles, shaman figures, an extensive collection of Haida argillite carvings and almost 100 ceremonial masks from all over the Northwest Coast. Daily (except Dec 25 and Jan 1) 10 am - 5 pm.
